- Another Great Week!
We have had an interesting, yet positive week. We all have been feeling crummy, but not enough to stop us in our tracks. Well, not enough to stop Amaya in her tracks. I on the otherhand have been feeling extremely lethargic and as if I am constantly battling something – tired, sore throat, lack of energy…not fun but tolerable. Tonight, we are sleeping at our home in T.O. (…)

- A toddler is emerging
Hello there! I have been awful at keep this blog up to date so I thought now would be a good time. I am feeling under the weather so I am typing this as I am laying here trying to clear the 300+ emails and junk out of my inbox. We have really seen great changes with Amaya recently. Many of the changes are welcome and some are new obstacles, but we understand there will be many ebs and flows throughout this journey. (…)

- Happy New Year!!!
Hello everyone,
I have no idea what happened to any of my previous posts so since I can’t find them, I guess I’ll have to do a quick recap. In a nutshell, just before the holiday break from UCLA and during the holiday break, the Lofton family was S-I-C-K!!! First was a cough thing followed by the flu thing, which came quickly but we had a hard time shaking off. However, we started the new year with a fresh, healthy start. Everyone is doing well and we are looking forward to what the new year will bring. (…)

- Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
First, I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. We did. We had my family over for too much turkey, stuffing and desserts. I feel as though I have gained 5lbs. I guess I will have to hit the gym hard for the next couple of weeks so I can squeeze back into my jeans! Secondly, I wanted to apologize because I have not had a moment to send out thank you cards yet so please know they are coming. You all have been such a blessing and I want you to know that I have not forgotten.
Amaya was able to have a taste of her first Thanksgiving meal and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Last year should have been her first Thanksgiving meal, but since we started her on the gluten free/casein free diet, she was deprived. This year we made sure we prepared meals that were within her diet restrictions so she wouldn’t feel left out. (I always feel so badly when I’m eating something different than her because she knows. She will look at her plate, then my plate, back at her plate and will reach for my food. It’s so sad!) We also scheduled the meal around her lunch time so she could sit at the table with everyone. She had turkey, sweet potato, peas, mashed potatoes and stuffing (we don’t give her a lot of bread, but c’mon…it’s Thanksgiving!). She was making “mmmm” sound as she was shoveling food into her mouth. I was so happy for her! I can honestly say it was my best Thanksgiving to date. (…)
